Trauma Counselling

There are many life experiences that may leave residual trauma; physical or sexual abuse, sudden bereavement, job loss, separation, assault, injury or a near-death event. In such cases it is not uncommon that there are debilitating behaviour changes, obsessions, fears, avoidance, insomnia and more that can last for years. In extreme cases this can develop into Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) with its attendant flashbacks and/or panic attacks. The good news is that for most people these things are quite fixable. Using cognitive behavioural therapy and in some cases, EMDR, most clients respond quickly and start to gain control of their lives again.

Key Benefits
  • Increased coping skills in all facets of life
