What is professional supervision?

Delta Psychology is a team of clinicians that has extensive experience in helping organisations and individuals to resolve workplace issues and improve working environments. We have good understanding of workplace settings ranging from small operations to large public and private sector groups and have experience from employee, management and small business perspectives.

• Delta offers effective manager-level support services such as supervision, mentoring and problem-focussed consultations.
• As we cater for the specific needs of managers, senior staff are more comfortable attending our service than using standard staff assistance programmes as they have fewer concerns about the confidentiality of referrals and privacy of consultations.
• Professional supervision is your protection against working in isolation, especially where ethical and professional issues may require the objectivity of a third party. Supervision is mandatory for Clinical Psychologists and other therapists for this very reason.

 
Delta Psychology is located in the Exchange area of Dunedin, with easy access and convenient parking, and our professional consulting suite offers privacy and comfort. However, we are also willing to visit workplaces to provide staff training, advice to managers and a variety of services to meet specific needs of the organisation, including team building, mediation and critical incident debriefing.. We can help employers and managers develop a broad approach to employee wellbeing, improving productivity, reducing absenteeism, and improving workplace morale.
